WE REMEMBER #VT32Run

Hi, Hokies!

Dottie here— normally at this time of year we are getting excited for the Spring Game and remembering the lives lost on April 16, 2007, by participating in memorial events. Although there will be no events held on Virginia Tech's campus, we can still remember the lives that were lost and celebrate being a Hokie!

This year the 3.2 for 32 Run in Remembrance will be a virtual event. The virtual run will last from April 16-18 and participants are encouraged to download an app (Stridekick) to track their steps. Virginia Tech is hoping to reach a goal of 32,000 total steps as a whole and is encouraging Hokies to post on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag, #VT32Run while participating. Hokies can download a printable bib to wear and show their Hokie spirit by wearing maroon and orange.

This is the perfect time to remember why we all love being a Hokie. You can reach out to a fellow Hokie and take on the challenge by completing 3.2 miles together. It's the perfect way to practice social distancing and to honor the lives of our fallen Hokies. Virginia Tech is home, and we will neVer forgeT. Stay safe, everyone!

#VT32Run

xoxo,

Dottie
