Summer Treats

Hey Dottie is back and ready to report on all her Summer fun! From splashing around in Claytor lake to watching Fourth of July fireworks, Dottie has been pretty busy this summer working up quite a sweat… and a heavy appetite. She’s here to report on all the yummy baking she has been doing for family and friends. The best cooking comes from finding local produce. Here are a few favorites…

• Blacksburg Famer’s market: located in downtown Blacksburg it’s the perfect spot to bring the dog, grab a morning coffee, and stock up on local veggies, jams, and meats.
• Annie Kay’s: Check out this local shop on South Main Street for an indoor market with local gems.
• Hethwood Market: find fresh farm to table cheeses and dishes that are already prepared.
