Hosting a "Homegate"

Hi friends! Dottie again.

In order to promote the health and safety of students and faculty during the pandemic, Virginia Tech has prohibited tailgating for the football season in university and town public spaces. However, all are encouraged to homegate! Here are some things you can do to maximize your homegate experience:

- Make a charcuterie board

Stock up on cheese, deli meat, fruit, nuts, crackers, jams, and more to build your unique snack board that everyone will love!

- Deck out in spirit wear

No better way to feel connected than to go all out in maroon and orange.

- Array of appetizers

Hop on Pinterest to find some yummy recipes perfect for game-days.

- Good tunes

Play popular music to get everyone excited! Don't forget to play Enter Sandman...

- Game-day decor

Pinterest has a lot of good ideas to use for game-day decor. Make your home as football themed as possible!

- Obviously, the game!
