Hi, Hokies. Today at Gobble de Art, we started our twelve days of Christmas specials and I couldn’t be more excited! Their special reminds me so much of my favorite Christmas song: The Twelve Days of Christmas. Every since I was a little bird, I’ve loved this song. Momma Dot and I always sing it together while decorating our nest. The song makes me think of my best memories. However, I sing it the Hokie way. You know what? You should too. Here’s my favorite Christmas song, Hokie style.

On the first day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the second day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the third day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the fourth day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the fifth day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas, Frank Beamers gave to me, six football tickets, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the seventh day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, seven athletes playing, six football tickets, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the eighth day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, eight students jumping, seven athletes playing, six football tickets, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the ninth day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, nine Skippers shooting, eight students jumping, seven athletes playing, six football tickets, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the tenth day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, ten Wahoos crying, nine Skippers shooting, eight students jumping, seven athletes playing, six football tickets, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the eleventh day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, eleven horses treading, ten Wahoos crying, nine Skippers shooting, eight students jumping, seven athletes playing, six football tickets, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

On the twelfth day of Christmas, Frank Beamer gave to me, twelve Hokie wins, , eleven horses treading, ten Wahoos crying, nine Skippers shooting, eight students jumping, seven athletes playing, six football tickets, five signed footballs, four Hokie hats, three chicken parms, two stadium chairs, and a Hokie in a pine tree!

Don’t you just love that version? I know I do. It’s my absolute favorite because it shows off Virginia Tech tradition and it mentions Hokies.

Sing your hearts out Hokies!

Xoxo,

Dottie
