Dottie's Favorite DIY Valentine's Day Cards

Hi there Hokie Friends!

It seems like just yesterday we were decorating trees and watching the ball drop. Now Valentine's day is just around the corner, and I am fluttering my wings with joy because I know what I will be doing for my flock this Valentine's Day! I love arts and crafts, so I wanted to share a collection of my favorite Pinterest DIY Valentine's Day cards. These DIY cards are made from the heart and perfect for showing your love bird you care!

  1. 3D Flower Hearts card

You won’t be able to find anything like this 3D Valentine’s Day card in stores! This gorgeous card is easier to make then it looks. All you will need is pink, red and white construction paper, a handy pair of scissors, colored paper or card stock and glue. Assemble this card and give it with love to your special someone, parent, friend, or anyone in your life who means a lot.

  1. “You are just Write” Valentine

This card is super simple and makes for the perfect craft for young children, or enthusiastic adults. Pick up your card stock, a pack of pencils, adhesive dots, a printer and scissors! This Valentine can be given to classrooms, English majors, or anyone who enjoys a well thought out pun.

  1. Cactus Valentine Card

No prickly feelings here! Your special someone or lucky friend will enjoy this cutesy-crafty card without a doubt! This DIY card requires slightly more effort, but it comes with a downloadable printed image that you can use to keep it relatively easy.

  1. Send a Digital Card

As much as we love creating our own Valentine’s Day cards, we know that sometimes time is short, and we need a quick way to let someone know we are thinking of them. If you’re in need of a card to send your favorite Hokie, feel free to use ours! You can print this card out and write down your own sentiments, or you can message this to your friend in an instant!

If you make these cards, or if you were inspired to create your own, I want to see! Use #dottiesvalentine on Instagram for a chance for your card to be featured on the Gobble de Art Instagram and Facebook page!

Bye for now,

Dottie
