Dottie’s Spooktacular Halloween

BOO! Did I scare you?

It’s Halloween, Hokies. Today is going to be a spooktacular day. Little monsters are going to be running around, princesses and pirates will be knocking on every door, candy is going to be handed out for free, Halloween movie marathons will be on television, and Jack-o-Lanterns will light up the night for miles. It’s going to be amazing.

I have some super cool plans for today. First of all, I’m going to get ready in my costume. It’s a super scary costume: A Wahoo. I’m dressing up in orange and blue and everything. I even have the hat! Hokies everywhere will be terrified of such a hideous sight. After I finish getting ready and putting on my costume, I plan on strutting around the Drillfield for a little while. I want to spook all the Hokies and hand out some candy. Oh man, I love candy, so I’m buying a lot so I can have some too. Herhsey’s, Twix, Reese’s, Skittles, M&Ms… My beak is watering!

After I walk around the Drillfield and greet my fellow Hokies with candy, I plan on going back to my nest to prepare for all the little monster visitors. I’ll light my pumpkins, hang all of the egg carton bats I made and add some spider webs to all the corners of my nest. I went all out this year and got a fog machine. It makes for the perfect haunted atmosphere. I also made goodie bags for each of the little creatures that come to visit me today. There’s spider rings, candy, eyeballs, glow sticks, and all kinds of goodies in each bag. And of course, you know I added Hokie stickers as well. What’s Halloween without a hint Hokie?

After the trick-or-treaters stop coming, I plan on turning off all the lights, cuddling up under my favorite blanket, and watching scary movies all night with Momma Dot. Doesn’t that sound like fun? I hope the movies scare the feathers off-of me.

But that’s enough about my plans. What are you doing today? What are you dressing up as? Are you as excited as I am? You should be!

Have a spooktaculary haunting Halloween!

XOXO

Dottie
