Bird Spotlight: Dottie

Hey, guys! Welcome to my final bird spotlight. Today the bird I want you to meet is … ME! You guys have followed me long enough to know a few things about me, but I want to get down to the nitty-gritty aspects of my life and my personality. And I’ll be completely honest, too! Flaws and all, I’m introducing you to the real-life Dottie.

As you all may know, I’m a creative soul. I love to write, read, take photography and participate in every aspect of art. Art adds a splash of color to every life. I’m also the bubbliest of birds. I’m extremely outgoing and I’m not afraid to talk to strangers. In fact, I love socialization. I think communication is key to loving all people and birds. I’m not shy at all. In addition to my creativity comes my happiness. I’m always happy, even when I’m having a bad day. I like to look on the bright side of life. There’s always good in every single day, and I intend to live the happiest life I can. I’m easily inspired and easily entertained. I love laughter and fun stories.

I’m an avid sports fan. This bird gets real serious when it comes to her Hokies. Due of my dedication to sports, I tend to get a little heated from time to time. Don’t let that deter you! It comes straight from my passion and love for Hokies. I’m quite the family bird, and I love and respect every member of my flock, but I also like my independence as well. I need a perfect balance of alone time mixed with socialization. I’m quite the care-free bird, which sometimes leads to procrastination.

Although I’m very easily inspired and quite care-free, I tend to be overly self-critical. Unlike X, my confidence is in others, not myself. Unlike Cade, I need protecting and sheltering; I’m not a natural leader with protective instincts. But, I do love to make others happy. And that’s the best thing about myself. I genuinely love everyone! And of course, the biggest fact about me? I love polka-dots! Momma Dot even named me after my obsession with them.

Well Hokies, I hope that gave you a little more insight into the mind of Dottie. I feel like every one of my audience members needs to know the real-live Dottie, and I hope you love her just as much as I love you. Make today a beautiful day, Hokies!

Xoxo,

Dottie
